Cabaret 2012 opens Friday, March 16, 2012
For the upcoming Georgetown Globe Musical Productions’s Cabaret 2012, featuring the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, the cast assembled for a photo. Shows at 8 p.m. are on March 16-17, March 22-24 with 2 p.m. matinees on March 18 and March 24 at the Acton Town Hall Centre. This is a fundraiser for the Globe’s Armoury project. Tickets $20. An overwhelming response to a call for young vocalists has left the Brampton Festival Singers (BFS) with a feeling of inspiration. “To see this amount of young talent in Brampton, to watch some of these performers that are going to go places in the future, is a reason to celebrate,” said BFS member Bonnie Bunkis.The initial call for singers asked for Brampton vocalists 19 years of age and younger to audition for a vocal competition hosted by the BFS and Brampton Public Library for the first Family of Brampton Festival.
