Globe Fall Youth Workshop 2024: Audition Prep

We are excited to announce the return of Globe’s Fall Youth Workshop focusing on Audition Prep!

Are you between the ages of 8-16 years old (as of May 11, 2025), and planning to audition in December for our May 2025 Youth Production, High School Musical JR.? Register for our Audition Workshop to prepare for an outstanding audition experience.

Workshop Details

Duration: The workshop will be held over two Saturdays, totaling 5 hours

Number of participants: 10 per session

First Weekend: A 2.5-hour session covering the three key areas of a musical theatre audition (Singing, Acting, Dancing). Learn what to do before, during, and after the audition for the best experience possible.

Second Weekend: A 2.5-hour mock audition session where you'll perform a provided song and monologue, learn a short dance number and receive feedback from peers and workshop leaders.

We recognize the crucial role parents/guardians play in supporting their children. We will provide materials to help you understand what’s expected at an audition, ensuring your child is prepared and has fun!

Workshop Dates and Times:

  1. FULL Saturday, September 28th and Saturday, October 5th – 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM (for children who will be 8 – 12 years old on May 11, 2025)
  2. Saturday, September 28th and Saturday, October 5th – 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM (for children who will be 13 – 16 years old on May 11, 2025)
  3. FULL Saturday, October 12th and Saturday, October 19th – 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM (for children who will be 8 – 12 years old on May 11, 2025) 
  4. Saturday, October 12th and Saturday, October 19th – 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM (for children who will be 8 – 12 years old on May 11, 2025) 

Workshop Leaders:

Holly Marshall will lead the workshop along with other experienced Globe members, sharing their extensive audition knowledge and ensuring a fun and informative experience.

Sign up early to avoid disappointment. Enrollment is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Proof of age may be required upon request for first time participants. No refunds will be given in the event of a participant withdrawing after September 21, 2024. Globe reserves the right to remove at any time participants deemed to be behaving in a way that compromises the standards of the camp or threatens the health, safety and well-being of themselves and/or others. If this should occur, a refund may not be given for the remainder of the session. In the event of a lateness or absence no fee adjustment will be made. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardians to provide accurate information for all sections on this form.

PHOTOGRAPHY RELEASE

I hereby authorize and voluntarily give Georgetown Globe Productions (Globe) the perpetual and irrevocable right and license and provide my consent to use, to disclose, to distribute, and to reproduce any, all or in any part of image(s) and/or audio/visual record(s) of camp participants, in any format, whether printed, digital or otherwise, for Globe educational, marketing and/or promotional purposes as authorized herein. This consent and authorization includes, without limitation, the right to publish such images on Globe websites, in Globe publications and promotional materials, such as marketing publications, advertisements, fundraising materials, and any other Globe related publication. These images may appear in any of the wide variety of formats and media now available to Globe and that may be available in the future, including but not limited to print, broadcast, videotape and electronic/online media, including social media.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY
 I hereby waive, release and indemnify Georgetown Globe Productions Inc. (Globe) and their related organizations, and respective officers, directors, agents, employees and any volunteers without limitation from and against any actions, causes of action, suits, claims and demands whatsoever which I may have for or by reason of, or in any way arising out of any damages, losses or injuries that may result from my participation as a Globe performer, participant, volunteer. I hereby agree that I will not make any claim or demand or commence or threaten to commence any action or proceeding, or make any claim against the agents of Globe in connection with any damages, losses or injuries that may result from my participation in the activities or events organized in connection with Globe Productions Inc.

In cases where parental signature is given for a child, I guarantee I am the parent/legal guardian of the aforementioned child/children and I hereby indemnify Globe Productions from and against any such claims which may be made against Globe Productions by any third party. I have read, understand and accept these terms and conditions.

All registrations will be processed in the order we receive them. We will contact you via the email or phone number submitted to confirm receipt of your registration. Once receipt of your child’s registration has been confirmed, you will have 48 hours to complete payment via the secure credit card link that will be provided. Once payment has been received, we will send final confirmation securing your spot in the workshop.
