Georgetown Globe Productions respects the personal information of its Members, Board of Directors and group visitors and we are committed to protecting their privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines our policies and practices regarding Member Information; why we collect it, how we use it, how we protect it, and how Members can access their information.
About Georgetown Globe Productions:
Georgetown Globe Productions (Globe) is a not-for-profit organization committed to the study and performance of musical theatre as well as to stimulate and encourage interest in such theatre for the benefit and betterment of its members and community as a whole. Membership is comprised of individual active members and honorary life members.
Type of Information We Collect and Use:
Personal information is any information that can be used to distinguish, identify or contact a specific individual. Member personal information is gathered to record contact names, newsletter recipients, or membership information. Current members receive all mailings (e.g. Production Team calls, Audition Calls, AGM, special group events notification, etc.). The information collected from each member includes: name, address, phone numbers, email, and areas of interest. At the time of performances, we also request information on medical requirements and First Aid/CPR certification for emergency situation preparedness.
Why We Collect and How We Use Member Information:
Member Information is used solely for business relating to Georgetown Globe Productions. We do not share, sell, rent or trade Member Information to other organizations. Member Information is gathered and used to establish our membership list, to distribute our newsletter and notices of meetings or group events, for production requirements of our performances, etc.
How We Collect Information:
We collect Member Information directly from our members at the time of membership sign- up/renewal. Medical information obtained for performance related production is destroyed once the production has closed. We do not collect any personally identifiable information from visitors to our website (globeproductions.ca).
Financial Information:
Globe will protect all personal financial information that you share with us. For reasons of security, we do not store this information in our membership database. We do retain membership information for our records for the current year, but this information is not shared with third parties.
